The Seville Residence for Researchers promotes scientific contact and cultural exchange between the research staff. University professors can also stay here if they are carrying out their research and professional work. However, preference is given to all CSIC staff.

The Seville Americanist Library, one of the best libraries specialized in America in the world, holds more than 89 000 works, including books, maps, magazines and so on. The subject of its bibliographic collection covers the Spanish-American colonial question, as well as literature, art, indigenism and contemporary history of America and the Philippines.

The Seville Residence for Researchers and Library (REBIS) is a CSIC unit is a Specialized Technical Unit of the CSIC, depending on the Institutional Delegation in Andalusia, which includes a residence and one of the best Americanist libraries in the world.
